The Chapel is Stabilized for Winter

In February, it was announced that The Alexander Company would lead a team to rehabilitate the three remaining vacant and threatened buildings on the Soldiers Home grounds: the Chapel, Ward Theater and the Governor's Mansion.
You may have noticed some construction crews around the Chapel lately. Thanks to funding from a private donor through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, The Alexander Company and JP Cullen have taken great care to ensure the chapel is water-tight and ready to endure another Wisconsin winter. Ward Theater and the Governor's Mansion are stable and did not require additional efforts prior to the winter.

Rehabilitation work will begin in Fall of 2025 and we'll continue to keep you updated along the way.
