Milwaukee Business Journal: Marquette, VA to partner on program

As Wisconsin health care providers and medical schools brace for a projected physician shortage, Marquette University and a Milwaukee hospital are working together to fill the gap in another way.
The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center was one of six sites in the country chosen to participate in the Physician Assistant Residency Pilot Program.
By working with Marquette’s physician assistant studies program, post graduates will be trained for one year at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee in primary care, the area most in need of more doctors and medical providers.
